- How difficult is the installation process?
Installation, when performed by our staff takes roughly 1 hour to perform. For self installation, we provide you with the necessary files and instructions to do it by hand, or you may elect to use our automatic installation system which will install the software onto your machine, directly from ours.
- What is your upgrade policy ?
Upgrades and maintenance releases within the same current version are free to download. We charge for version upgrades.
- Can you make `x-y-z` modification for me?
Most customizations can be done at our hourly rate of $125.00 per hour. Customizations not involving core code changes (i.e.: changes that would affect all users) will be quoted directly based on our hourly rate. Core system changes are evaluated on a case by case basis. Core system changes require the Source Code (Professional) Version.
- I already have `x-y-z` competing software, can you convert the data?
Assuming we can get the data in ASCII format, we can convert anything into our format. We do have canned conversion systems for users of the major competing systems In the event that we do not have a canned conversion application written for your current system, custom conversions are done at our standard $125.00/hr rate.
- Do you offer Educational or Non-Profit Discounts?
At this time we do not offer discounts.
- Can I have a free copy of your software if I show your banners or provide you with some service?
No. Barter arrangements rarely work out, and are next to impossible to manage and verify
- What kind of load can Hyperseek Handle?
Depending on your server setup, all the traffic you can send to it. Hyperseek is cluster ready, so as your traffic increases, you can easily add more and more servers to your setup, and the programs will expand with you
- What is the realistic maximum database size?
Since Hyperseek makes use of any SQL Database, there is, theoretically, no limit to the number of messages or topics in the database. Depending, of course, on your server setup.
- Is MYSQL included or extra?
We do not ship the MYSQL Database server with the software. We make the assumption that your web server has a database already installed and setup for us to hook into.
- Does Hyperseek run from my server or yours?
All applications run from your servers ... unless you choose our leasing option, which will run from Hyperseek Hosting. Feel free to check out our recommended Hosting Providers.

- Does Hyperseek include Credit Card Processing?
Hyperseek has a built in facility to properly process online payment notifications from a 3rd party merchant service. Essentially, Jackhammer is able to send people to your merchant services order form with the proper information, and can then accept the "valid" notification back from them to handle the transaction internally. Jackhammer does not authorize credit cards on its own.
- Can I include META Results from other search engines?
Yes, using the included XML Backfill in Hyperseek, you can have your search results backed up by other major search engines. Partnered (paid) listings are integrated in with yours, by price, with you being paid by your remote PPC Partners for any clicks generated.
- How fast will Hyperseek pay for itself?
That depends on your marketing skills .... In most cases, within 2 months, given a quality design, good marketing effort, some incentives to your account holders, you should be at the break even point.
- Can people upload their overture.com spreadsheets?
No. We cannot parse Overture Formatted Spreadsheets within the program automatically for live bidding. Hyperseek does have its own spreadsheet format that your users can use, which is generated for them by the system from within their bidding control panel.
- Does Hyperseek have any fraud/cheater protection?
Hyperseek employs an escalating series of over 15 checks on every click through that comes in from the search engine. For security reasons, we cannot (and will not) disclose the specific nature of the checks, but you can be assured that the system will catch 98% of all fraudulent activity. To catch the other 2%, we have extensive reporting in the admin center that will allow you catch trends, teach the fraud filters something new, and go back in time to reverse fraudulent activity.
- Is support included with my purchase?
One hour of training time is included with your software. Additional training is available at our standard rate of $125 an hour. Your software also comes with one software installation. If you need assistance upgrading or moving your site, support is available at our standard rate of $125 per hour. The full documentation and knowledge base are always available for free. To have our support staff assist you in any questions you have on your site, set up, usage, etc., it is billed at our standard rate of $125 per hour.
